Phillips a worry for Plymouth encounter

Tony Mowbray has revealed hot-shot striker Kevin Phillips could well miss Saturday's visit of Plymouth with a knee injury (KO 3pm). The Baggies' top scorer has already had to sit out periods of this campaign with an ankle and serious knee injury however that hasn't hampered him topping the Championship's goal scoring charts with 17 strikes.

'Super-Kev' picked up the knock before last Saturday's visit of Hull and is expected to train for the first time this week today.

"The only player potentially missing at the weekend is Kevin," Mowbray said in the build-up to the Pilgrims clash.

"He took a knock on his knee at the end of last week.

"There's no concern.

"It was touch and go whether he'd train today and we decided against it.

"Hopefully he'll train tomorrow (Friday) and he'll be ready and available for selection at the weekend."
