Tony Pulis was uphappy with referee Mike Jones after he denied Albion a penalty at one end and awarded Man City a dubious spot kick during Albion’s 2-1 defeat.

Albion took an unexpected lead when Stephane Sessegnon fired a powerful volley past Joe Hart.

But City were level when Sessgenon was adjudged to have felled  Aleksandar Kolarov in the area.

The Baggies were then denied their own spot kick when Sandro was bundled in the back by Eliaquim Mangala in a clumsy challenge.

Jones waved away Albion’s appeals before Samir Nasri fired home from close range after a goalmouth scramble.

“I thought it was a penalty,” said Pulis when questioned on the challenge on Sandro..

“And it doesn't just affect us and our result but all those teams fighting City for that Champions League spot.

I also think Sess didn't touch Kolarov for their penalty. It probably wasn't a wise challenge for him to make but I don't think Sess touched him.”
