'Robbo' not to blame for defeat

Albion boss, Tony Mowbray defended left-back Paul Robinson after his dismissal against Coventry City in the 4-2 defeat at The Hawthorns last night. Robinson was sent for an early bath after two second-half bookings by referee Mark Clattenburg.

Robinson's red card and automatic one-match ban, combined with Bostjan Cesar's suspension, now gives Mowbray a defensive headache against Leicester on Saturday with fellow defenders, Neil Clement and Martin Albrechtsen also unavailable through injury.

"Paul's a whole-hearted player and I don't think you'll ever take that away from him," Mowbray said.

"I would never critise Paul for the player he is.

"He is very determined and part of the reason we got back into the game was Paul's quality of delivery for our first goal.

"Who knows what would have happened if it had stayed at 11 versus 11?
