Badge kissing Paul Robinson has finally been granted his exit from The Hawthorns after joining Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan.
Robinson joins up with former boss Gary Megson at the Reebok Stadium six years after he signed him from Watford.
Robinson had been in the middle of a tug-of-war between Bolton and Albion after an initial bid of £500,000 was turned down by Jeremy Peace. Now a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal has been agreed between the two clubs.
"I've only worked with Paul for just over a week but he made it clear before I arrived that he wanted to remain in the Premier League,” Head Coach Di Matteo said after the deal was revealed.
"He's been a good servant to Albion for almost six years and we wish him all the best at Bolton."
Robinson, who signed for just £250,000, made 237 appearances for the club, scoring six goals.
