Robson Plays Down Keeper Injury Concerns

The on-loan Baggies keeper has been plagued with back injuries over recent years but Robson insisted that although Kirkland had to miss part of a training session on Monday he does expect the keeper to be available for selection this coming weekend.

"Chris felt a bit stiff in training on Monday so he came off early as a precaution," the Baggies boss has said.

"We checked him out on Tuesday morning and it is only a minor thing.

"It is totally unrelated to the back injury he had before and he should be fully fit for the weekend when we entertain Charlton."

The England international keeper will play no part in The Baggies Carling Cup tie against Bradford tonight.
