The Baggies boss also revealed that a deal to bring Wigan striker Nathan Ellington to The Hawthorns is all but done.

"Along with Rob Earnshaw, Ellington will give us more options up front. He has pace, power and can also score goals," Robson said after the 0-0 draw at Eastlands.

"We conceded 41 goals in the first half of last season and only 20 in the second. When you are strong at the back it gives you a good platform to go forward.

"It is good not to be beaten away from home and drawing here is a good start."
