Boaz Myhill has extended his stay at The Hawthorns for another season after agreeing a new one-year contract.

The 'keeper's contract was due to expire at the end of this season.

But the former Hull City man claims it was an easy decision to make when approached by the club.

“It all happened very quickly,” said the former Wales international.

“The whole thing only took about three days to sort out.

“It was an easy decision to make and the contract took as long to sort out as it did for the club to type it up.

“I’m happy to have got it sorted and it’s always nice to get it done before the season starts.

“When you are coming to the last year of your contract it can be a little unsettling so it’s great to have it done.

“It’s one of them where I know what I am getting and the club know what they are getting from me.

“The club has a trust in the goalkeeping department and they are happy with the way things are going which is what you want as a player.

“It’s up to me and Ben now to keep that going.”
