West Brom manager Tony Mowbray wants unsettled striker Nathan Ellington's future resolved sooner rather than later. The Baggies have accepted a transfer request from Ellington, who last featured for Albion on New Year's Day when Southend were 3-1 winners at Roots Hall.
Mowbray said: "The sooner Nathan's future is sorted out, the better for his own sake and, obviously, for the club moving on. If he is going to stay then he has got to get his head down, as I have repeatedly said, and he has to understand he has a job to do and a responsibility. If that is not going to be the case and there is a deal to be done then the sooner that is done, the better for everybody as well. I would not want to lose a striker and not have the opportunity to replace him, although we always have the loan market if Nathan went towards the end of the window so I am pretty relaxed about it."
