Do-heon Kim's second goal in three pre-season matches not only secured Albion their first win on the campaign but also brought high praise from Assistant Manager, Mark Venus. Do-heon's pedigree is growing with each game that passes with Baggies fans finally seeing the qualities of the Korean international.

The £500,000 pound summer signing has been arguably Albion's most consistent performer so far with Tony Mowbray offering Kim the chance to fill the midfield void in Robert Koren's absence.

"Do-heon's a good footballer," Venus said after watching Do-heon curl home a 36th minute free-kick.

"He's got a lot of pedigree.

"He's won well over 40 international caps for his country and has played at World Cups.

"He's got to adapt to English football and I think the team have also got to adapt to him.

"But he's a talented player and that's what we want - 20-odd talented footballers who we can select from every week."
