Assistant Manager, Mark Venus today warned of the threat of returning Coventry City striker, Michael Mifsud. The Maltese striker has been watching from the sidelines since his straight red card against the Baggies at The Ricoh Arena three weeks ago.

City's leading scorer with 11 goals, Venus believes that Mifsud, nicknamed 'the mosquito', will galvanise his team ahead of tonight's game at The Hawthorns (KO 19.45).

"He's scored a lot of goals this season." Venus said.

"They've struggled without him which suggests he is a major player.

"He gives the other members of their team a lot of confidence that they can score and attack with purpose."

Since his dismissal Coventry have slipped down the table after a promising start to the season under Iain Dowie. Taking just one point from a possible nine during Mifsud's suspension, the Sky Blues visit Albion in 14th place with the serious threat of administration looming overhead.
