Watson moves to Owls on a free

Utility player Steve Watson has signed for Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer from West Brom, penning a two-year deal at Hillsborough. Watson was on loan at Hillsborough last season before being recalled by Albion in April. Owls boss Brian Laws told the club's official website: "I think Steve has the quality we need and his presence here will help the young players. His experience, knowledge and quality showed in abundance during his loan spell."
Baggies chief Tony Mowbray added: "Steve did well on loan at Wednesday last season and we wish him well now he has made the move permanent."
