Albion suffered their second defeat of the season at the hands of former Baggies boss Tony Pulis.

Here's how WBA-MAD rated the players:

Sam Johnstone: A couple of routine saves in the first half but was left with no chance for Boro's winner. 6/10

Tosin Adarabioyo: Looks comfortable with the ball at his feet but a few shaky moments highlighted he's a boy playing a men's game 5/10

Ahmed Hegazi: Should be dominating games at this level but seems to have a mistake in him every time the ball goes near him. Doesn't inspire confidence from his teammates. 5/10

Kyle Bartley: At the centre of penalty claims in both areas. Both of which were spot kicks. Crashed into Hegazi for Boro's goal. 5/10

Kieron Gibbs: Seems to be gaining in confidence. Got forward at every opportunity but his final ball was poor. 6/10

Chris Brunt: Always made himself available to pick the ball up from deep but had little options ahead of him. 6/10

Jake Livermore: Little finese when playing forward. Did the dirty work but Albion need more from him. 6/10

Matt Phillips: Looked lively throughout but Albion didn't use him enough. 6/10

Harvey Barnes: Anonymous first half but came into the game after the break and looked threatening on the left. Subbed after an hour. 6/10

Dwight Gayle: Should've done better when through on goal after the break. Had little service into the box to work with. 5/10

Jay Rodriguez: Another who went missing first half. Started the second half brighter when moved wide but another who failed to impress. 5/10

SUBS

Craig Dawson: Brought back from the cold after his self-imposed exile. Offered more experience to Albion's back line but his error to led to Boro's goal when he missed a free header. 4/10

James Morrison: Had some neat touches when he came on and tried to get involved but is still desparately short of match fitness. 6/10

Hal Robson-Kanu: Given ten minutes at the end but couldn't add to his recent goal tally. 5/10.
