We must keep in touch - Davies

Curtis Davies insists it is vital for West Brom to stay within touching distance of the Championship leaders. The Baggies are still seven points behind pace-setters Cardiff after being beaten 2-1 by Derby on Saturday, and although there is still much of the season to go, skipper Davies is desperate to keep the Bluebirds in their sights. He told the club's official website: "I do look at the table because you don't want teams pulling away too far, especially after what Reading did last year. "They got into a good run of form, kept going and going and nobody could catch them. "We don't want Cardiff to get too far ahead of us. We just need to keep ourselves up there because, come the midpoint of the season, that's when you start looking at the table properly. "We want to be right up amongst it."
