"I'm totally committed to Albion," he told the clubs official website.
"I'm signed for up to four years and unless the club gets an offer and accepts it then I'll be here for four years.
"Relegation doesn't really get mentioned. "A lot of us believe we can get out if it. There is still a strong belief here.
"It would be soul destroying to get relegated.
"I came here from Middlesbrough expecting to be playing Premiership football for my four years with the club.
"It would be really disappointing and I don't want a relegation season on my CV. I would be devastated if we went down.
"But I honestly still believe we can get out of it."
